Every cloud has a silver lining.
I am very delighted and thankful to “Victrices” for creating this unique platform where we as women have the liberty to express ourselves utterly.
I am a lady with lovely and lofty dreams. It was a lovely weekend when I was notified by my college that we all will be indoors till further notice. To be honest, I could not comprehend my feelings at that point.
Each day, I followed the news up till I realized it was not a dream but the reality of the Coronavirus!!! I felt disheartened because people die on daily basis all over the world and from research, contracting the virus is worse than a nightmare.
Before the lockdown, I had planned on enrolling in piano lessons after my exams but it was to no avail.
The American writer and Novelist Ada Adams said; “There is a light at the end of every tunnel. Some tunnels just happen to be longer than others.” Despite the horror of the lockdown, it still helped me positively. I got the chance to understand myself perfectly. I discovered my strengths and the weaknesses I had to work on. I finally got to do my piano lessons online. I read motivational books, focused more on my studies, and worked more on both my language and writing skills.
Most importantly, I had solitude moments that made me view the world in a different way. Each day, I pray for the world.
Ladies, we have to know that change is constant and the ability for us to deal with and adapt to it makes us warriors. I believe there is always a way to every gloomy situation.
Finally, always remember that we can always create and be the light at the end of every tunnel.
