Proud Female

PART II

I have to deal with hormonal effects. My body goes through a lot of changes. Apart from that, each monthly cycle comes with its drama. And as I grow, I am learning to recognize the hormonal effects. I know that menstruation is not an abnormal thing. It is part of the female body. And better yet? It is evidence of my wonderful ability to conceive, and carry a baby in my womb. Menstruation is part of my femininity. Sometimes I’ll get moody or cry for no reason. I may feel bloated, have terrible cramps, or have weird cravings. But I will embrace the cycle and make the best of it.

Despite society only complimenting or criticizing my looks, I know I am much more than a physical body.

I am a human being with a mind and a heart.

I can learn and get an education.

I am creative and can give solutions.

I can contribute to diverse topics.

There’s nothing to stop me from learning and mastering anything I want.

I can work and do whatever it is I want as long as I work hard for it because I know I have a lot to contribute.

I am also not any less of a woman if I choose to stay home taking care of my family.

I will work to be an excellent keeper of my home.

I should never feel pressured to do anything I don’t want to. I don’t need to be half-naked to get attention, I don’t need to sleep with the boss to get where I want to be. And I never have to trade sex for love. I am worth more than that. And I know the right people will value all of me.

And as I continue in this journey of life, I aim to:

– Be true to me
– Take care of myself.
-Pray.
-Love me.
-Laugh more.
-Forgive without holding any grudges.
-Contribute positively to the world around me.
